Replacing boat floor and need some help!? - putting a floor in a boat

The boat had wood i think they have it set to optical fiber. After removing the timber from, I noticed that the fiber was initiated weaknesses in him. What should I do, I'm sure I must delete the word, but I refiberglass or can I put the plywood and seal it just really good? Thanks for any help.
